Centerpoint Medical Center has constructed a new Rapid Care space designed for patients with non-life-threatening, but emergent illnesses, to ensure their needs are met. Specifically designed to meet the community’s need for expedited, comfortable and private care, the care team at Centerpoint is responding to community input on how to create a quicker and more comfortable environment.

Our new Rapid Care system effectively moves patients with lower acuity symptoms, and what we mean by that are symptoms that are not life-threatening, but are serious enough that it necessitated a visit to an ER. Conditions which are typically considered acute but not life-threatening might be:

  • Nausea & vomiting
  • Urinary Tract Infection
  • Sprains & strains
  • Fractures
  • Cough, Cold & Flu
  • Sore Throat & Fever
  • Minor Abdominal Pain
  • Lacerations
  • Ear Infections
  • Allergic Reactions

Rapid Care is an ER track designed specifically for patients to efficiently move through the ER with greater privacy and comfort. We also ensure personalized care with a dedicated provider and nurse who complete your assessment alongside you and also see you again as you complete the care path. Our goal is to send you home with information and any scripts you may need while answer your questions along the way. We know this makes sense for our patients and it helps reimagine the quality care that you expect and deserve.
