The Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Centerpoint Medical Center, opened July 2016, integrates cancer diagnosis and treatment services under one roof, bringing continuity to the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment, with access to both chemotherapy and radiation technology.

The Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute brings highly specialized physicians from multiple specialties to Eastern Jackson County, including specialists in medical oncology and hematology and gynecologic oncology, eliminating the need to drive to multiple locations for patient visits.

Cancer Wellness Classes

As part of HCA Midwest Health, Centerpoint Medical Center offers cancer wellness education classes that are free and designed for both the patient and caregiver. The classes provide simple, evidence based strategies to reduce cancer related side effects and to help you live your best life. Classes are held in a supportive small group format to allow for individual questions and socialization with others who are affected by cancer.

Our team of physical, occupational, lymphedema, pelvic floor and speech therapists will help you improve your physical functioning and well-being through individual support.
